ReplyDeleteI think ralph is mad because jack is being stupid. jack is mad because everyone's yelling at him. piggys mad because jacks picking on him. I would be mad if someome was picking on me too.
ReplyDeleteBrittany, you did a much better job with this. Let's try to reference some evidence from the text to help our visitors understand why you think Jack is being "stupid". We talked about how Jack is focusing on hunting and kill pigs all day rather than considering the other needs on the island, that's why Ralph is frustrated with him. Jack is mad because Ralph did yell at him at his disregard to these other essential components of surviving and being rescued. Why are they picking on Piggy? What exactly are they saying to him.

ReplyDeleteColton, much better. Ralph is very upset over Jack's "crew" letting the fire die out. That's their hope for survival! So who all is yelling at Jack? What are they yelling at him about? Good recollection of Piggy's glasses getting broken! How did they break? How is this effecting Piggy?
